These are action items to strengthen Africa Rising's financial position going into Q4. Each one is specific, actionable, and tied to what we're already seeing in the numbers.
Sign 2–3 new clients before year end
Priority for Q4 is growing our active client base. Target 2 to 3 new clients before December at 20 to 30 hours per week each. This directly increases recurring revenue, strengthens our ability to cover talent costs without cash pressure, and builds the pipeline heading into 2027.
Save next month's obligations each month
Each month, set aside the full cost of the following month's obligations into Wise, which earns interest on balances. For November that means: salaries $1,025 + subscriptions $783.47 = $1,808.47. Starting this in October means we never operate reactively again. Build this habit now while October's revenue is strong.
Review Sky Pool viability — grow or close
Sky Pool Airbnb revenue ($683.57) plus the account refund ($539.18) = $1,222.75 this month against $1,400 rent + ops. Africa Rising only bridges $177.25 this month which is manageable. However, if bookings slow, that gap widens and there is no investor profit being generated. Decision needed: either grow bookings enough to cover rent in full and return profit to the investor, or discuss closing the operation before it becomes a recurring liability.
Audit subscriptions quarterly
We have 12 active subscriptions totalling $783.47/month. Tolstoy ($19) and Netflix ($9.99) should be reviewed for active usage. A quarterly review could free up $30 to $50/month to redirect toward savings or ops.
Keep Mercury above $500 at all times
Operating below $500 in Mercury creates unnecessary risk every billing cycle. The goal is a standing minimum of $500 — never below $300 — so subscriptions and unexpected outflows can clear without reactive transfers. October's strong revenue makes this immediately achievable.
