Is this course right for me?
Remote Rising is for professionals who want to build a remote career and are willing to do the work to get there — regardless of where you live or where the company hiring is based. It's designed for mid-career professionals with roughly 3–8 years of experience, though more senior or earlier-career people get plenty out of it depending on their situation. If you want a guarantee that a job appears at the end, this isn't that. We hand you the playbook and run it with you; you run the reps.
Why should I take this course now?
Because the way people land remote work is changing fast, and the old playbook stopped working a while ago. The professionals winning remote roles today aren't doing what everyone else is doing — they're using approaches most applicants haven't caught up to yet. Every month spent doing it the old way is a month of roles going to people who learned the new one. The sooner you build these skills, the sooner they start compounding.
Are there any prerequisites for this course?
No formal ones — no specific degree, certification, or "right" background. But here's the honest truth: the best people get the best jobs. The tactics we teach will only take you so far. You need real skills to position — or the drive to go build them. If you're willing to be a rockstar at what you do and put in the work, you're exactly who this is for.
What if I'm already experienced and have applied to dozens of roles?
Then you've probably felt exactly what this course exists to fix: doing everything "right" and still hearing nothing back. Experienced applicants tend to get the most from the non-obvious tactics — direct outreach, video resumes, getting past the ATS to a human — because the substance is already there. What's been missing is how you're going about it.
What if I can't attend a live session?
Every session is recorded and added to your library, so you'll never fall behind. That said, the live sessions are where the real value is — the coaching, the questions, the energy of a cohort moving together. Come live when you can; catch the replay when you can't.
Do I need to live in a big city to land remote work?
No. The whole premise of Remote Rising is that where you live shouldn't cap your career — and remote work today reaches far beyond tech. Companies hire remotely across operations, marketing, sales, customer success, design, finance, admin, and plenty more. We've worked with talent from across the continent — Nigeria, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Kenya, South Africa — landing roles with companies in the US, Canada, the EU, and Dubai. You need skills and an internet connection, not a particular city or industry.
How much time will I spend on the course each week?
Plan for the live instruction — about 3 hours a week — plus a few hours of actual application: revamping your profile, sending outreach, doing the reps. Call it 5–7 hours a week to get real value. You can do more; you'll get out what you put in.
How long can I access course materials?
A full year. Recordings, the content library, AI prompt library, roles and company databases, and the Slack community all stay open for twelve months after your cohort, so you can keep using them long after the four weeks end.
How much will I interact with Weh'yee?
In the cohort, plenty — he teaches the live sessions himself and runs weekly office hours where you can bring your real situation. It's group coaching, not one-on-one handholding. Can't I find all this content online for free?
Honestly? Pieces of it, yes. What's scattered across a hundred videos — and what no video gives you — is the sequence, the live coaching when you're stuck, an executive recruiter's read on what hirers actually want, and a room of people doing it alongside you. You're not paying for information. You're paying for a path and accountability.
Do you guarantee I'll get a job?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. We can't control whether you do the work, how the market moves, or who you're up against. What we can do is give you the exact system that's worked for the people we've placed, and coach you through running it. The effort is yours; so are the results.
Which tools and platforms will I need?
Nothing exotic. A computer with reliable internet, a LinkedIn account, and a way to join live video sessions. We'll point you to the AI tools and platforms we use throughout — most have free tiers, and we'll show you how to get the most out of them.
What's your refund policy?
No refunds, except in extraordinary circumstances — medical emergencies, a death in the family, and the like. We keep cohorts small and the work is front-loaded, so we ask you to join only when you're ready to commit. If you're unsure whether it's the right fit, book a clarity call before you pay and we'll talk it through honestly.
Are there scholarships available?
Not at the moment. We may explore options down the line, but for now there's a single price and no separate scholarship track.
