About This Role

We're building a bench of people who can pick up the phone.

This is not a single open seat. Africa Rising is building a standing bench of outbound callers — smile-and-dial professionals — for placement across our clients. Some placements are live right now; new ones open every month. We recruit ahead of demand, so that when a client needs a caller, we already know exactly who to put forward.

When you join the bench, we add you to our curated network and pitch you to clients. Once a client selects you, we schedule the interview and guide you through every step. You join as a named teammate, not a task taker.

Calling is a rare skill. Most people will not dial a stranger and hold the conversation. If you will, and you are good at it, we want you in our network — whether or not a placement is open the day you apply.

The Work

Smile. Dial. Repeat.

Outbound calling is the heart of it. You work lists, open conversations with people who did not expect your call, qualify them, and move them to the next step — a booked meeting, a warm handoff, or a closed deal, depending on the client. You log every touch, keep the CRM clean, and bring the same energy to call number eighty as you did to call number one.

  • Dial with volume — you hit the phones daily and keep activity high without burning out.
  • Open and hold the conversation — you get past the first ten seconds, build quick rapport, and earn the right to keep talking.
  • Qualify and route — you find the real prospects, disqualify the rest fast, and move the good ones forward.
  • Handle the no — objections, brush-offs, and voicemails do not rattle you. You have a response and you keep moving.
  • Log and report — every call captured in the CRM, every number trackable, so the client always knows what is working.
Two Levels

Where you fit on the bench.

We place callers at two levels. Apply at the one that fits you; we will confirm the right tier together on the call.

  • Operator
    The high-volume dialer
    You run the playbook. Scripts, lists, appointment setting, first-line qualification, and clean CRM logging. You take direction and execute the motion at volume. Right for strong callers building a track record.
  • Specialist
    The senior phone operator
    You own the motion. You handle the hard objections, qualify complex and higher-value prospects, run discovery, and sharpen the script as you learn. You work with little direction and set the standard for the bench.

    You bring the same energy to the last call of the day as the first. High activity does not wear down your quality.

    You take feedback and adjust fast
    You listen back to your calls, take the note, and change the next one. You treat your pitch as something you keep sharpening.
  • Order
    You keep the CRM clean
    Every call logged, every follow-up tracked. The pipeline is trustworthy because you keep it that way.
  • Setup
    A quiet room and a clean line
    Stable internet (25+ Mbps), backup power and connectivity, and a quality headset and mic. Calls happen from a quiet, well-lit space. For phone work, this is non-negotiable.
Compensation

What you'll earn.

We publish pay up front. Pick the level that fits you below; we will confirm the right tier together on the call. Pay is monthly, in USD. Every engagement includes a monthly add-on (shown in the table) covering tier incentive and a fee adjustment for transfer and FX.
